What percentage of the final home sale price do you charge?
All commission are negotiable terms of the listing or buying contract. In most of the California markets the customary commission for a listing is 4.5-6%, I ask for 5%, 2.5% to the listing agent and 2.5% commission to the buyers agent.
Do I need a real estate lawyer as well?
In California you do not need a real estate attorney to complete a transaction, as other states may have. The agent, escrow and title offices are all that is required for a smooth transaction. You may choose to have a lawyer involved on your behalf.
How will you find potential buyers/renters for my property?
I have a 50 point marketing plan that I scale to fit the marketing needs of the property. Depending on the market, that could entail a lot of ongoing marketing on social media, email, websites and mailings.
Can I take my low property tax with me?
Yes! With the newly adopted Prop 19, you can move our low tax base up to 3 times within California. There are some age and condition requirements that I would love to share with you.
